Neymar: 'Lionel Messi deserves World Cup win'

Neymar says that he would be pleased if his Barcelona teammate Lionel Messi won the World Cup with Argentina.

Neymar has backed his fellow Barcelona star Lionel Messi to win the World Cup with Argentina ahead of Sunday's final against Germany.

Although Neymar's Brazil traditionally maintain a rivalry with the Argentines, the Barca forward was quick to wish his club teammate well.

"Messi deserves to win the World Cup," the 22-year-old told reporters. "He's my friend, I wish him the best."

Brazil will meet the Netherlands in the third-place playoff on Saturday.
