Arsenal team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Newcastle United

Sports Mole rounds up Arsenal's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Saturday's FA Cup clash with Newcastle United.

Arsenal will be aiming to make it four victories in a row in all competitions when they host Newcastle United in the third round of the FA Cup on Saturday evening.

The Gunners have won their last three matches, all in the Premier League, to rise into 11th position in the table.

Mikel Arteta's side put four unanswered goals past West Bromwich Albion at the Hawthorns on Saturday night, with Kieran Tierney, Bukayo Saka and Alexandre Lacazette on the scoresheet.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Arsenal's injury and suspension news ahead of the clash with Newcastle, who have lost 14 of the last 15 games between the two sides.

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Coronavirus
Possible return date: January 9 (vs. Newcastle United)

Having tested positive for coronavirus, Gabriel Magalhaes was again unavailable for selection against West Brom. In theory, the summer arrival could feature against Newcastle, although a number of factors will determine whether he can make his return against the Magpies.

Thomas Partey

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: January 9 (vs. Newcastle United)

Thomas Partey picked up a thigh injury on his return to action against Tottenham Hotspur earlier this month. The summer arrival again missed out against West Brom, but he could potentially be fit for the FA Cup clash.

Reiss Nelson
