Mauricio Pochettino expects Dele Alli to be fit for North London derby

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino plays down concerns that Dele Alli could miss the North London derby against Arsenal due to injury.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has said that he is confident Dele Alli will be fit for the North London derby against Arsenal after the international break.

Alli missed Sunday's 1-0 win over Crystal Palace at Wembley due to a hamstring injury and has since pulled out of the England squad for the upcoming friendlies against Germany and Brazil.

Pochettino has insisted that it is not a serious injury, though, and expects the 21-year-old to be fully fit in time for Tottenham's trip to the Emirates Stadium on November 18.

"Dele Alli against Manchester United finished the game feeling his posterior tendon, close to the hamstring, and then played 90 minutes against Real Madrid," he told reporters.

"It's a very, very, very small thing. It was a massive risk (to play him) again. We're sure he'll be ready for Arsenal [after the international break]. We hope he's going well in the next few weeks and will be available."

Alli has scored seven goals and assisted one more for Spurs across all competitions so far this season.
