Arsenal can reach an unprecedented milestone if they beat Everton on Wednesday, becoming the first side to beat a single opponent 100 times in English league history.

Arsenal have the opportunity to hit an unprecedented milestone in English football history when they face Everton at the Emirates on Wednesday.

Arsenal have won 99 of their 203 league games against Everton, and could become the first team in English league history to register 100 victories against a specific opponent.

The recent form of both sides and the stats surrounding the two coming into the clash at the Emirates favours the Gunners greatly too.

A win for Mikel Arteta's side will see them reach 60 points after 25 matches - the exact same record Arsenal achieved when going unbeaten for their last league title in 2003-04.

Despite having a very poor record at Goodison Park against their upcoming opponents, Arsenal have won 21 of their last 26 home games against Everton, with their only defeat in that time coming when football was played behind closed doors in 2021.

Everton have also never won a Premier League away game when facing the side currently top of the table - the last time they managed to do so was in 1986 against Wimbledon, a season where Everton won the title themselves.

Their away day blues still continue too, as they have scored only once in their last seven away league matches - Demarai Gray's wonder goal at Manchester City.
