Arsenal will be without the services of teenage left-back Myles Lewis-Skelly for Wednesday's Premier League battle with Nottingham Forest at the City Ground.
The Hale End graduate was sent off for the second time this season in Saturday's 1-0 defeat to West Ham United, taking the walk of shame for a last-man foul on Mohammed Kudus.
Lewis-Skelly will be one of six guaranteed Arsenal absentees as he serves his one-match ban, joining Bukayo Saka (hamstring), Takehiro Tomiyasu (knee), Gabriel Martinelli (hamstring), Kai Havertz (hamstring) and Gabriel Jesus (ACL) on the sidelines.
However, the Englishman was only a second-half substitute in the loss to West Ham anyway, as Mikel Arteta gave Riccardo Calafiori the nod but then witnessed the Italian struggle to deal with Aaron Wan-Bissaka all afternoon.
Calafiori should still fend off the challenge of Kieran Tierney and Oleksandr Zinchenko to start in Lewis-Skelly's place, as Arteta puts out an unchanged rearguard at the City Ground, despite Ben White's return from a knee problem as a late substitute on Wednesday.
Declan Rice had a rare bad day at the office against former club West Ham as he was hooked before the hour, but the Englishman is also set for a shot at redemption alongside Thomas Partey and Martin Odegaard in the midfield trident.
Faced with another unenviable selection dilemma up front, Arteta rewarded Mikel Merino for his Leicester City heroics with a start in the number nine slot on Saturday, but the Spaniard could not have the same impact from the first whistle.
Nevertheless, with Raheem Sterling a shadow of his former self, Arteta may stick rather than twist up front, assuming Ethan Nwaneri can battle back from the fatigue-related issue that forced him off on Saturday.
Arsenal possible starting lineup:
Raya; Timber, Saliba, Gabriel, Calafiori; Odegaard, Partey, Rice; Nwaneri, Merino, Trossard
