Arsenal are reportedly keeping an eye on Raheem Sterling's situation at Chelsea, but the 28-year-old attacker has no plans to leave the under-performing Blues.

Chelsea attacker Raheem Sterling is reportedly being eyed up by Arsenal, but the England international has no desire to leave his current club amid their persistent struggles.

Having lost his status as a regular starter under Pep Guardiola at Manchester City, Sterling swapped sky blue for Chelsea blue as he made the move to Stamford Bridge for €56.2m (£49.3m) last summer.

The switch marked a return to the English capital for Sterling, who was a member of Queens Park Rangers' youth academy for seven years before joining Liverpool in 2010.

However, the 28-year-old's first season with the Blues has been underwhelming in terms of numbers, coming up with six goals and three assists in 25 games in all competitions.

From his 18 Premier League appearances, Sterling has just four goals and two assists to his name, and competition for attacking starts has become fiercer thanks to the Blues' significant January outlay.

Mykhaylo Mudryk, Noni Madueke, Joao Felix, Hakim Ziyech and Mason Mount are all competing for starts out wide, and Christopher Nkunku will make the move to the club from RB Leipzig this summer.

Despite their unprecedented levels of spending in a short space of time, Graham Potter has been unable to pull the Blues out of the rut as they remain 10th in the Premier League standings.

No matter what transpires for the remainder of their troubled campaign, Chelsea could sanction a number of high-profile exits in the summer window as Todd Boehly prepares to splash the cash again.

According to 90Min, Arsenal are still keeping a close eye on Sterling's situation, with Mikel Arteta keen to reunite with his former Manchester City colleague.

The former Liverpool man's versatility across the frontline supposedly appeals to Arteta, who wants to bolster his squad with Champions League experience as Arsenal prepare for an expected return to the top tier of European football.

However, the report adds that Sterling currently has no plans to seek a move away from Chelsea, nor have the Blues placed the England international on the club's transfer list.

Sterling's contract at Stamford Bridge runs until 2027, but Chelsea would supposedly not be averse to letting some of their summer signings leave after just one year at the club.

Kalidou Koulibaly and Marc Cucurella have not had the desired impact in West London, leaving their long-term futures up in the air, while Sterling's compatriots Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Conor Gallagher could also depart amid their lack of starts.

Sterling won 11 major honours during his time at Man City - sharing five with Arteta while the Spaniard was serving as Guardiola's assistant - clinching four Premier League titles, five EFL Cups, one FA Cup and two Community Shield titles.
