Liverpool have reportedly reached an agreement over personal terms with Schalke 04 defender Ozan Kabak.
The Reds are rumoured to have reignited their interest in the 20-year-old on deadline day in their desperate search for a new centre-back.
Kabak was seen arriving at Schalke's training centre on Monday morning and, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, a loan move to Liverpool is now looking likely.
Romano suggests that the reigning Premier League champions, who have been without regular centre-backs Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez for the majority of the season, are now locked in negotiations with Schalke.
The discussions are said to centre around an obligation-to-buy clause that the German side want to include as part of the agreement.
Should terms be finalised between the two clubs, Schalke are expected to finalise a deal for Arsenal defender Shkodran Mustafi.
Liverpool have also been strongly linked with Preston North End defender Ben Davies, but that transfer may depend on whether they are successful in their pursuit of top target Kabak.
