German Denis plays down hat-trick heroics

Atalanta striker German Denis refuses to get carried away with his hat-trick against Inter Milan during Sunday's 4-3 win at the San Siro.

Atalanta striker German Denis has played down his hat-trick against Inter Milan during Sunday's 4-3 victory at the San Siro in Serie A.

The Argentine forward scored three times in the second half as the visitors came from 3-1 down to stun their hosts.

"I just do what the coach asks of me and what we prepare in training," Denis told Sky Sports Italia.

"I have learned a lot since I arrived in this country because it is necessary to learn hard work.

"Italian football is among the most difficult in the world and it is difficult to maintain your form."

The win was enough to lift Atalanta up to 13th place in the Serie A table.
