Darren Ambrose's time as a Birmingham City player appears to have come to an end after he completed a loan move to Greek outfit Apollon Smyrni.
The 29-year-old midfielder moves to Greece until the end of the season, when his contract at St Andrew's comes to an end.
Blues manager Lee Clark described Ambrose as a "talented footballer" but said that it didn't work out for him in Birmingham.
"Maybe he has lost a bit of confidence," Clark told the club's official website.
"I think the fresh start for him and his family will prove to be productive. As a club and as me as the manager I wish him well."
Apollon are currently 12th in Greece's Super League and are managed by former Northern Ireland boss Lawrie Sanchez.
