Blackburn Rovers captain Grant Hanley could return to his side's backline for Tuesday night's visit of Birmingham City after missing out this weekend.
The 22-year-old had played every single minute of Rovers' Championship campaign before the international break, but then picked up a knee injury on duty with Scotland so had to sit out the trip to Ipswich Town yesterday.
"Grant didn't travel (to Ipswich)," Blackburn manager Gary Bowyer told the club website. "He trained on Friday and just felt it and didn't think he was able to play, so obviously we were disappointed with that.
"We'll see how he goes over the next two days in terms of treatment and training and we'll make that assessment on Monday."
Hanley's return will be much needed as Matthew Kilgallon was sent off at Portman Road. Rovers still managed to salvage a point in the dying seconds and sit 13th in the table.
