Boavista earn first win of campaign over 10-man Tondela

Luisinho fires Boavista to 1-0 victory over 10-man Tondela to secure his side's first Primeira Liga win of the season.

Boavista have secured their first win of the Primeira Liga season courtesy of a 1-0 victory over Tondela.

Neither side managed to find a breakthrough in the first half as they were unable to produce the quality in the final third of the pitch.

The home side took the lead early in the second half when Luisinho collected the ball in the box and buried the ball past Matthew Jones into the net.

Tondela's task to get back into the game became harder when Lucas Souza was sent off for receiving his second bookable offence in the 63rd minute.

Boavista were unable to add to the scoreline, but held out comfortably to secure their first three points of the campaign.
