The Football Association will investigate claims made by Marvin Sordell that Bolton Wanderers players were racially abused during their 2-1 defeat to Millwall on Saturday.
Sordell, 21, revealed on Twitter that he had suffered abuse along with teammates Lee Chung-yong, Darren Pratley and Benik Afobe during the Championship encounter.
"Chungy, Pratts, Benik and I had all sorts of things said to us. Putting the match aside, it's 2012 in England and people are still shouting racial abuse at a football game?" he tweeted.
Meanwhile, an FA spokesman revealed: "The Football Association will be investigating the claims."
Both clubs are also investigating the claims.
