Cardiff City defender Sol Bamba has claimed that he enjoyed the "perfect debut" during this evening's 2-1 victory over Bristol City.
Bamba, who only joined the club on Tuesday, was thrown straight into the starting lineup by new manager Neil Warnock and went on to put in a man-of-the-match display that also saw him score the winning goal in the Severnside derby.
The victory saw the Bluebirds climb out of the Championship relegation zone and up to 19th, but Bamba warned that there is still a long way to go.
"It's been the perfect debut, but it's about the team. We've been working all week on becoming difficult to beat and we did well," he told Sky Sports News.
"There's a long way to go, today was a good step forward, it was a derby so it's good for the fans, but we need to keep going."
Cardiff are back in action again on Wednesday when they host Sheffield Wednesday.
