Catania held on to earn a point at home to Torino, despite having been down to ten men since the 13th minute.

Catania held on to earn themselves a point in a 0-0 draw with Torino in Serie A this evening.

Catania suffered a terrible start to the game after Francesco Lodi was shown a straight red card after just 13 minutes.

Torino looked to take full advantage of the ten men and Rolando Bianchi had a chance to give his side the lead, though his shot was closed down well.

The home side were then given a golden chance to take the lead after being awarded a penalty by the referee. Gonzalo Bergessio stepped up, but he missed the spot kick.

Bergessio had another chance just after half time, but he saw his shot well saved by the goalkeeper.

Alessio Cerci missed the target with his strike midway through the second half as Torino tried to grab hold of the game.

Simone Verdi was wide of the target with a late chance for the away side, as Catania held on for a well deserved point.
