Liverpool team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Chelsea

Sports Mole rounds up all of Liverpool's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Thursday's Premier League showdown with fellow top-four hopefuls Chelsea at Anfield.

Liverpool welcome Chelsea to Anfield on Thursday night with just one point and one place separating the top-four hopefuls in the Premier League table.

The champions finally returned to winning ways following a four-game losing streak with victory over Sheffield United on Sunday, welcoming both James Milner and Naby Keita back from injury in the process.

However, they remain on a four-game losing run at home - only the second time that has ever happened in their history - and face a Chelsea side still unbeaten in nine outings under new manager Thomas Tuchel.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Liverpool's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Thursday's showdown.

Alisson Becker

Possible return date: March 4 (vs. Chelsea)

Alisson missed the win over Sheffield United on compassionate grounds following the tragic death of his father in a swimming accident last week. The goalkeeper will be allowed to sit out for as long as required, but Jurgen Klopp has hinted that he is likely to return against Chelsea.

Possible return date: March 4 (vs. Chelsea)

Fabinho returned to training on Saturday and, while he missed the Sheffield United game as expected, the Brazilian is likely to be available for the visit of Chelsea.

Diogo Jota

Diogo Jota was in line to make his long-awaited comeback against Sheffield United, only to be struck down with illness the night before the game. The attacker has now recovered from his knee injury and returned to training last week, so he should be ready to feature on Thursday.
