Next Sunday's Premier League match between Aston Villa and Chelsea is likely to be postponed amid growing coronavirus cases in both squads.
Villa saw their match against Burnley called off less than three hours before kickoff on Saturday, having recorded a number of new positives on the morning of the game.
Chelsea, meanwhile, have seen Romelu Lukaku, Timo Werner, Ben Chilwell and Callum Hudson-Odoi test positive this week, while reports on Saturday suggested that two more unnamed players have also now returned positive tests.
Rules state that players must isolate for 10 days following a positive coronavirus test, putting the December 26 meeting between the two clubs in serious doubt.
As things stand, Chelsea are still due to face Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux on Sunday, December 19.
Premier League rules state that a match will only be postponed if a club does not have enough players to fulfil the fixture.
Ten top-flight matches have now been postponed over the past week, including six of the 10 due to take place this weekend.
