Rafael Benitez says that he did not see Luis Suarez bite Branislav Ivanovic in the arm.

Chelsea's interim manager Rafael Benitez has insisted that he did not see Liverpool striker Luis Suarez bite his defender Branislav Ivanovic during the meeting between the two clubs at Anfield earlier today.

During the second half, Suarez grabbed the Chelsea defender before seemingly appearing to bite the Serbian's arm.

However, when asked about the incident by Sky Sports News, Benitez replied: "I'm sorry, but I didn't see it."

Suarez went on to score deep in stoppage time to rescue a 2-2 draw for Liverpool.
