Olivier Giroud will be looking to equal a Chelsea record of scoring in seven consecutive starts when the Blues face off against Everton this weekend.
The 34-year-old has largely been on the fringes at Stamford Bridge since Frank Lampard's arrival, but has been firing on all cylinders recently and is enjoying an extended run in the first team.
Giroud started his first top-flight game of the season against Leeds United after scoring four against Sevilla in the Champions League, and the France international struck the Blues' opener in that 3-1 win last weekend.
Should Giroud line up from the first whistle and score at Goodison Park on Saturday evening, he will become only the second Chelsea player in Premier League history to find the back of the net in seven consecutive starts - a feat achieved by Mark Stein between December 1993 and February 1994.
Prior to scoring against Sevilla and Leeds this season, Giroud notched up goals in starts against Crystal Palace, Watford, Norwich City, Liverpool and Wolverhampton Wanderers at the back end of last season.
Lampard's men currently sit two points adrift of early pacesetters Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur ahead of Saturday's trip to Merseyside.
