Team News: Kepa Arrizabalaga begins in goal for Chelsea

New Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga starts in goal for the clash against Huddersfield Town.

New Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga starts in goal for the Blues' clash against Huddersfield Town this afternoon.

The Spaniard, signed for a world-record fee earlier this week, comes straight into Maurizio Sarri's team for their league opener.

In front of him, Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso are the full-backs, while Antonio Rudiger and David Luiz begin at centre-back.

Ross Barkley, who has featured for Chelsea during pre-season, begins in midfield alongside debutante Jorginho as Alvaro Morata, Pedro and Willian provide attacking threat up top.

Among the substitutes for Chelsea are England international Ruben Loftus-Cheek, as well as fellow World Cup stars Eden Hazard and Olivier Giroud.

For Huddersfield Town, Ben Hamer is selected between the sticks, while new signing Terence Kongolo, who made a loan move to the John Smith's Stadium permanent earlier this summer, is at centre-back.

Aaron Mooy and Alex Pritchard start in midfield alongside Jonathan Hogg, while Steve Mounie is a lone striker with Laurent Depoitre among the substitutes.

New arrivals Adama Diakhaby and Ramadan Sobhi could also be introduced from the bench.

Huddersfield Town: Hamer; Hadergjonaj, Schindler, Kongolo, Zanka; Mooy, Lowe, Pritchard, Hogg, Billing; Mounie
Subs: Lossl, Smith, Diakhaby, Ramadan, Van la Parra, Depoitre, Stankovic

Chelsea: Arrizabalaga; Azpilicueta, Rudiger, Luiz, Alonso; Jorginho, Kante, Barkley; Willian, Pedro, Morata
