Chelsea have reportedly made contact with Juventus to discuss a possible deal for Denis Zakaria.
The 25-year-old spent five years with Borussia Monchengladbach before leaving the German outfit in January 2022 to join his current side.
The Switzerland international has only made 15 appearances for the Old Lady, though, contributing just one goal and one assist during a disappointing spell.
There has been speculation surrounding the midfielder's future during the summer window, and according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea have approached Juventus to discuss Zakaria.
Romano claims that the Blues want to sign the midfielder on loan for the 2022-23 campaign with the option to sign him on a permanent basis next summer.
Chelsea are believed to have identified Ibrahim Sangare as a possible signing late in the window, but the Ivory Coast international now looks set to remain at PSV Eindhoven.
Thomas Tuchel's side are also attempting to bring Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to the club from Barcelona, but they have allegedly failed with a late move for AC Milan forward Rafael Leao.
