Chelsea are reportedly keeping a close eye on the development of Montreal Impact youngster Ballou Jean-Yves Tabla.
The 18-year-old, who has already made seven appearances for Canada's Under-20 team, has appeared 17 times for Montreal this season after netting on his first start for the MLS outfit in April.
According to ESPN, former Chelsea forward Didier Drogba has personally recommended Tabla to the Blues, having played alongside the teenager during his one-season spell with Montreal.
The report adds that Lille and Red Bull Salzburg are also closely monitoring proceedings for a player that will be out of contract at his MLS club next December.
Tabla, who has two league goals to his name this season, was born in Ivory Coast, but has represented Canada at youth level.
