Inter Milan have reportedly been delayed in their efforts to sign Chelsea forward Olivier Giroud.
Having held an interest in the France international for a number of months, it has recently been suggested that the Italian giants are close to sealing a deal for the out-of-favour frontman.
However, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter must first part ways with Matteo Politano before they can bring in Giroud.
With the playmaker having made just two starts in all competitions this season, the 26-year-old has been given permission to leave during the January window.
AC Milan, Napoli and Fiorentina are said to be monitoring the situation, although none of the trio are seemingly close to agreeing terms.
