Inter Milan are reportedly considering a move for Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah with Milan Skriniar's future at San Siro in doubt.
The Slovakian is out of contract at the end of the season and has been linked with a move to several high-profile clubs, including the Blues.
The San Siro outfit could reportedly sell the 27-year-old in January rather than risking losing him for free in the summer and it is understood that they have started the process of looking for long-term replacements if that happens.
Calciomercato reports that Chalobah is one of the names on Simeone Inzaghi's shortlist of potential replacements for Skriniar.
The 23-year-old Cobham graduate has made seven appearances so far this season and it was reported that he was seeking regular first-team football last month.
Romelu Lukaku is on loan at the San Siro from Stamford Bridge and is a potential make-weight if Graham Potter does not want to lose Chalobah.
