Marko Marin: 'Ivan Rakitic will remain at Sevilla'

German midfielder Marko Marin is confident that Sevilla teammate Ivan Rakitic will remain with the Spanish club this summer.

German midfielder Marko Marin believes that Sevilla teammate Ivan Rakitic will remain with the Spanish club this summer.

Rakitic is widely regarded as one of the best midfield talents in European football, with the Croatian international scoring 12 times for Sevilla this season.

A number of clubs have been linked with a move for the midfielder, but Marin, who is currently on loan from Chelsea, is confident that Rakitic will remain at the Estadio Ramon.

"I've known him for a while and his words were very important for me. He loves being here, I don't think he ever wants to leave," he told Sevilla TV.

Rakitic moved to Sevilla from Schalke 04 in 2010.
