Report: Patrick Bamford to join Crystal Palace on loan

A report claims that Crystal Palace are close to bringing Patrick Bamford to Selhurst Park on loan from Chelsea.

Chelsea forward Patrick Bamford is reportedly heading to Crystal Palace on a season-long loan deal.

The 21-year-old joined Chelsea from Nottingham Forest in 2012, but has not yet made his first-team debut for the Premier League club.

Last season, the striker struck 17 league goals during a loan spell with Middlesbrough, who were keen on bringing the youngster back to the Riverside for the new Championship campaign.

According to the Daily Mail, however, Palace are close to completing a deal for the England Under-21 international.

Bamford has also previously had loan spells with MK Dons and Derby County.
