Coventry have reached an agreement to sign John Fleck from Rangers, according to Sky Sports News.
The Sky Blues are hoping to announce Fleck as their latest signing today, pending confirmation from legal experts about the fee that may or may not be owed to Rangers, according to the Coventry Telegraph
However, an agreement has been reached for a transfer fee, meaning Fleck can now join Coventry unopposed, to follow Kyle Lafferty, Steven Whittaker and Jamie Ness out of the door.
A statement from Rangers denied the previous reports and announced that a deal had been agreed. It said: "An inaccurate media report this morning suggests the club is taking legal action against John Fleck over his move to Coventry City.
"Both clubs have in fact reached agreement for the transfer of the player and Coventry have recognised Rangers' rights as part of the process.
"A formal announcement will be made later today."
Fleck previously refused to contract to the new Rangers company, run by Charles Green.
