Richie Barker: 'FA Cup fixture is huge'

Crawley Town manager Richie Barker admits that his side are aware of the importance of their FA Cup first-round clash at Conference North outfit Hednesford Town.

Crawley Town manager Richie Barker has insisted that his side know they need to return to winning ways sooner rather than later.

The League One outfit have lost their last four fixtures, and ahead of their FA Cup tie with Conference North team Hednesford Town at Keys Park, Barker believes that he and his players still have the same mindset that they did during their previous unbeaten run.

The 38-year-old told BBC Radio Sussex: "We are all well aware of how important it is. From a footballing point of view, to get back to winning ways and making sure that we are in the second round draw.

"The draw could have been worse - it could have been better. We just get on with it.

"Results aren't going our way but we are the same people that we were two weeks ago when we were seven games unbeaten. I am no worse a manager and the players are no worse."

Crawley are currently 13th in the League One table, while Hednesford sit top of the Conference North.
