David Moyes is pleased with Marouane Fellaini after his performance in Everton's 1-1 draw with Arsenal.

Everton manager David Moyes has heaped praise on midfielder Marouane Fellaini after his performance in the club's draw with Arsenal.

The Belgium international's equaliser cancelled out Theo Walcott's opener for the Gunners, as the two sides were forced to settle for a 1-1 draw at Goodison Park on Wednesday night.

Fellaini has been one of the Toffees' star players so far the season, and Moyes was delighted with the 25-year-old following his latest display.

"I thought he was fabulous tonight," said Moyes. "But our whole team played well, as we had to do against Arsenal. Overall I was really pleased with how the players played.

"Arsenal played well, they had some moments but great credit to our lads after going a goal down after 50 seconds to get right back in it.

"I thought we deserved it when we scored, we were playing well, and it was a really good goal by Marouane."

Everton travel to Manchester City on Saturday.
