Everton have reportedly spoken to former Schalke 04 coach Ralf Rangnick, who is said to be on a three-man shortlist for the vacant manager's position at Goodison Park.

Everton have reportedly spoken to former Schalke 04 coach Ralf Rangnick about the vacant manager's position at Goodison Park.

The Toffees are looking for a replacement for David Moyes, who took over as Manchester United boss earlier this month.

Wigan Athletic's Roberto Martinez is the odds-on favourite to fill the void on Merseyside.

However, according to Sky Sports News, Porto manager Vitor Pereira and 54-year-old Rangnick are also on Everton owner Bill Kenwright's three-man shortlist for the position.

Rangnick, who has also managed Stuttgart, Hannover and Hoffenheim, stepped down as Schalke boss in September 2011, claiming that he was exhausted.
