Team News: Danny Ings handed full Southampton debut at Goodison Park

Southampton boss Mark Hughes hands a full debut to Liverpool loanee Danny Ings, while Everton make one change on the back of their 2-2 draw at Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Danny Ings has been brought into Southampton's starting lineup to face Everton in this afternoon's Premier League clash at Goodison Park.

The Liverpool loanee comes in for his first start since arriving at the club last week, having performed well during his half-hour on the field in the goalless home draw against Burnley.

Mark Hughes reverts to a 4-4-2 formation, meaning that Ings will partner Charlie Austin up top, while Nathan Redmond and James Ward-Prowse retain their spots out wide.

There is no place in the matchday squad for summer signing Jannik Vestergaard, however, so Jack Stephens and Wesley Hoedt are paired together in the heart of defence.

Marco Silva makes one change for his first competitive home match in charge of Everton, meanwhile, bringing in Mason Holgate alongside Michael Keane for the suspended Phil Jagielka.

There is a place on the bench for Chelsea loanee Kurt Zouma, while Andre Gomes and Yerry Mina - also brought in on deadline day - remain absent from the squad.

Everton, who drew 2-2 at Wolverhampton Wanderers seven days ago, are unbeaten in their last 13 home league games against Southampton.
