Everton are reportedly interested in signing Colombian left-back Frank Fabra, who currently plays for Boca Juniors.

Boca Juniors defender Frank Fabra has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Everton.

During the current campaign, Everton have struggled at left-back due to the lack of a replacement for Leighton Baines, who missed a number of months through injury.

Cuco Martina has deputised when required and Ramiro Funes Mori - who has just recovered from a serious knee injury - is capable of playing in the position but according to reports in Argentina, that has not stopped Everton from showing an interest in Fabra.

The 27-year-old is said to be available for a fee in the region of £5m and has just one year remaining on his contract at Boca.

Fabra has also earned 18 caps for Colombia and is expected to feature in his nation's squad for this summer's World Cup.
