Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri calls for calm

Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri is eager for his team to stay calm during the final straight of the season.

Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri has urged his players to remain calm as they look to retain their Serie A title.

The Old Lady can move 11 points clear at the top of the table tonight if they beat Sassuolo in Turin.

Juve are the overwhelming favourites to win this year's championship, but Allegri believes that his team needs to stay focused during the final straight in order to end the season on a high.

"This team has won three consecutive league titles and it seems as if people think it's just naturally going to happen again this season," he is quoted as saying by Goal.com.

"I think a bit of enthusiasm has been lost - winning four league titles isn't straightforward and few teams throughout history have managed to do so.

"Everyone should be proud of what these lads are doing. The league still isn't over and calm is required. We must keep working, take the positive aspects on board and limit the negative ones."

Juventus are currently on a 16-game unbeaten run in the league.
