Edoardo Reja hails "best performance"

Lazio manager Edoardo Reja says that his team's display against AC Chievo Verona was the best since his return last month.

Lazio manager Edoardo Reja has claimed that his team's display against AC Chievo Verona was the best since his return last month.

The Biancocelesti claimed a 2-0 win in their Serie A clash on Sunday.

"Perhaps this was the best performance since I returned to Lazio," he told reporters.

"We did well against Juventus, but even better today. We showed confidence on a slippery pitch and reacted well, especially in the second half down the flanks.

"The result could've been more impressive. It was important for us to win and answer our critics at this moment."

Today's result stretched Lazio's unbeaten run in the league to five games.
