Brendan Rodgers proud despite draw

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers admits that he is still proud of his players, despite letting a two-goal lead slip in their 2-2 draw at Arsenal.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has admitted that he is still proud of his players, despite being pegged back to draw 2-2 at Arsenal in the Premier League.

Luis Suarez and Jordan Henderson put the visitors in control at the Emirates Stadium before Olivier Giroud and Theo Walcott struck to earn the Gunners a share of the points.

"We are disappointed not to win because in that first hour we had control and created a lot of chances," Rogders told Sky Sports News.

"We were resilient and stuck together and I can't fault my players. They were magnificent tonight, we scored two and could have had a lot more."

The draw has seen Liverpool stay in seventh place in the Premier League table.
