Barcelona sporting director Robert Fernandez has suggested that Philippe Coutinho would not fit into their side.
The Liverpool playmaker has been linked with the Catalan giants following an impressive season at Anfield last term, in which he was named Liverpool's Player of the Year and was also selected in the Premier League's Team of the Year.
However, Fernandez has hinted that the La Liga outfit will not make a move for the Brazil international when their transfer ban is lifted in January.
"Coutinho is a great player, with a great condition, but we have a lot of playmakers," Fernandez told Cadena Ser.
"But, it isn't easy to find players who are capable of playing for Barca."
Coutinho has scored 17 goals in 112 appearances for the Reds since joining from Inter Milan in January 2013.
