Liverpool are reportedly anticipating that they will receive a huge offer for Mohamed Salah from the Saudi Pro League at the end of the season.

Liverpool are reportedly expecting to receive a substantial offer from the Saudi Pro League for Mohamed Salah at the end of the season.

Although Salah has achieved legendary status at Anfield and is the club's key player in attack, speculation persists that he may depart Liverpool before the start of 2024-25.

The Egypt international's contract is due to expire in under 16 months' time and Liverpool would likely require a renewal to take place in order to not cash in over the summer.

As it stands, it has been suggested that Salah is more likely to extend his stay at the Merseyside giants over deciding that now is the right time to take on a new challenge, particularly in the Middle East.

Nevertheless, there have been constant rumours over a team from Saudi Arabia being prepared to put together one of the most attractive proposals in football history.

Last year, it was widely claimed that a bid of at least £150m was on the table from Al Ittihad, albeit with Liverpool having no intention of entertaining a sale so late in the summer transfer window.

According to Football Insider, Liverpool have effectively been told to 'name their price' for a transfer to go through.

With a year less being on his contract compared to when interest emerged in 2023, it remains to be seen whether Liverpool would be able to demand the same £150m that was previously on the table.

Nevertheless, the report suggests that an offer would still have to be more than £100m if a Saudi Pro League club were to make the breakthrough.

Salah is currently focused on trying to help Liverpool win the quadruple, with an EFL Cup trophy having already been collected despite the 31-year-old missing the final through injury.

He has only returned to the squad for the last two fixtures, making substitute appearances against Sparta Prague in the Europa League and Manchester City in the Premier League.

In the latter, Salah could not help Jurgen Klopp's side secure the win that would have kept them at the top of the standings, instead settling for a 1-1 draw that leaves them behind Arsenal on goal difference.

With the reverse fixture against Sparta and FA Cup quarter-final with Manchester United to come this week, Salah will expect to start at least one of those encounters.
