Real Madrid join Liverpool, Barcelona in Diego Carlos race?

A report claims that Sevilla defender Diego Carlos is wanted by a number of heavyweight clubs, with Real Madrid the latest to join the race.

Real Madrid have reportedly joined Liverpool and bitter rivals Barcelona in the race sign Sevilla centre-back Diego Carlos.

The 27-year-old has made 31 appearances for Sevilla in all competitions this term and is believed to have recently attracted interest from Liverpool and Barca.

Spanish outlet Marca reports that Madrid are also keeping tabs on the Brazilian defender with a view to making a move when the transfer window opens for business.

Carlos only arrived at the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan last July following a three-year spell in Ligue 1 with Nantes.

Madrid are also rumoured to be going head to head with Barcelona for Borussia Dortmund youngster Youssoufa Moukoko.
