Manchester City are reportedly prepared to enter the race for Bayern Munich's Ryan Gravenberch this summer if they are unable to land first-choice target Jude Bellingham.
The Dutchman joined the Bundesliga champions from Ajax last summer and has struggled to make an impression in Germany so far, starting just two matches in the league - albeit he has made 19 cameos off the bench.
Having appeared 11 times for the Netherlands since making his debut in October 2020, the 20-year-old is still a highly-rated prospect who appears to be attracting interest from the Premier League.
According to The Mirror, Manchester City will turn their attentions to signing Gravenberch if they miss out on Borussia Dortmund and England star Bellingham to Real Madrid.
It is believed that Gravenberch is on a shortlist of potential midfield incomings for Pep Guardiola's Citizens, making Liverpool's attempts to secure his services as part of their midfield rebuild even harder.
The Premier League champions are also in the market for a marquee midfield signing with German Ilkay Gundogan likely to leave the Etihad at the expiration of his contract in the summer.
