Manchester City have reportedly already failed with a bid for Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele.
The 22-year-old continues to be linked with a clutch of Europe's biggest clubs, having impressed during the 2017-18 campaign.
Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and Juventus have all reportedly already agreed personal terms with the France international, despite the fact that Lyon are yet to accept a transfer bid.
According to Le10Sport, City, who want a long-term replacement for Fernandinho, recently made a £43m offer for Ndombele, but the bid was rejected.
The Frenchman has scored twice and contributed eight assists in 47 appearances for Les Gomes during the 2018-19 campaign.
Lyon are in a strong bargaining position when it comes to Ndombele as the midfielder is contracted to the French giants until the summer of 2023.
