Manchester United reveal that Victor Lindelof has "recovered well" from his breathing difficulties at Norwich City, and that they are not thought to be COVID-related.

Manchester United have confirmed that the breathing issues experienced by defender Victor Lindelof last weekend are not thought to be related to the coronavirus outbreak at the club.

Lindelof was forced off in the second half of Man United's 1-0 win over Norwich City on Saturday, being replaced by Eric Bailly after experiencing difficulty breathing.

The Red Devils confirmed in the following days that they have recorded a number of positive coronavirus tests within the club, causing Tuesday's Premier League match against Brentford to be postponed.

However, Man United have revealed that Lindelof's issues appear to be unrelated to COVID-19, and that the Swedish international has "recovered well" from the incident.

"Victor is currently undergoing a series of precautionary investigations. However, he has recovered well from the episode he experienced in the match against Norwich," read a statement on the club's official website.

"All indications are that this is not linked to any COVID outbreak within the club."

Man United have also been forced to close down first-team operations at their Carrington training ground as a result of the outbreak.
