Marcus Rashford and Scott McTominay are both forced off with injuries during Manchester United's FA Cup semi-final with Coventry City.

Manchester United's injury crisis worsened during Sunday's FA Cup semi-final clash against Coventry City, with both Marcus Rashford and Scott McTominay forced off at Wembley Stadium.

Ahead of the match, it was confirmed that Willy Kambwala, Sofyan Amrabat and Mason Mount were unavailable due to injury problems, with the trio joining a long list of absentees.

Tyrell Malacia, Anthony Martial, Luke Shaw, Lisandro Martinez, Victor Lindelof, Jonny Evans and Raphael Varane are also on the sidelines for the 20-time English champions.

Rashford was forced off in the final stages of normal time on Sunday, and the England international was videoed by Manchester Evening News journalist Samuel Luckhurst limping through the mixed zone.

According to Luckhurst, McTominay was also "walking gingerly" after the match, with the Scot appearing to suffer a groin problem on his return from a two-match absence.

Man United will now be sweating over the fitness of the duo, with the team having another six league games to play before tackling Manchester City in the FA Cup final at the end of May.

The Red Devils came close to throwing away their spot in the final, as Coventry incredibly netted three times in the latter stages of the match to make it 3-3 and force extra-time.

Penalties were needed to separate the sides after Coventry had what appeared to be a late winner chalked off for offside, and Man United were 4-2 winners in the shootout.

The 20-time English champions face back-to-back home Premier League games with Sheffield United and Burnley to finish the month, and both Rashford and McTominay could be unavailable.

Harry Maguire finishes the match despite apparent injury problem

During extra-time, Harry Maguire again appeared to be in severe discomfort, and it did look as if the centre-back would have to leave the field.

The England international seemingly battled through the pain barrier to finish the match, but there will be a concern when it comes to his fitness.

Indeed, Ten Hag said after the Bournemouth clash last weekend that Maguire suffered an issue in the first half of the 2-2 draw, and he has had various muscular injuries this season.

As a result, his fitness will also need to be assessed ahead of the fixture with Sheffield United on Wednesday night, meaning that Man United might not have a first-team centre-back available for the game with the Blades.

After the clashes with Sheffield United and Burnley, the 20-time English champions will head to Crystal Palace, before facing Arsenal, Newcastle United and Brighton & Hove Albion in their final three league games of the season.
