Manchester United 'always planned Odion Ighalo isolation'

Manchester United reportedly always planned to keep Odion Ighalo in isolation for a two-week period after his switch from Chinese side Shanghai Shenhua.

Manchester United had reportedly always planned to keep Odion Ighalo away from the club's training ground after his move from Chinese side Shanghai Shenhua.

On Wednesday evening, it was revealed that Ighalo has been prevented from training with the rest of his teammates after United opted to take precautions against the coronavirus.

However, according to Sky Sports News, the recent chain of events has always been part of United's plan ahead of handing the Nigeria international his debut against Chelsea next week.

Like in the initial report, it is stated that the decision taken by United is in line with the two-week incubation periods which are being carried out with the majority of people travelling from China to another country.

While Ighalo also missed out on the club's training camp in Marbella, there is every expectation that he will play some part of Monday's contest at Stamford Bridge.
