Cristiano Ronaldo was among 17 first-team players at Manchester United to return to the club's Carrington Training Complex on Wednesday.

The Red Devils were due to face Brentford in the Premier League on Tuesday evening, but a coronavirus outbreak in the camp led to the fixture in London being postponed.

Man United had not trained properly since the end of last week, as Sunday's session was disrupted following the news of positive cases in the camp, and it remains unclear whether Saturday's clash with Brighton & Hove Albion will be going ahead.

However, Ronaldo was among 17 first-team players pictured by the Manchester Evening News arriving at the training ground on Wednesday.

The report claims that the players had to undertake lateral flow and PCR tests in their cars before they were allowed to enter the training ground.

The majority of the players allegedly trained under interim boss Ralf Rangnick, while those suffering with injury problems worked on their rehabilitation.
