Ajax midfielder Ryan Gravenberch remains a transfer target for Barcelona, according to a report.

Barcelona are reportedly ready to compete for the signature of Ajax midfielder Ryan Gravenberch.

The 18-year-old has been in impressive form for his Dutch club during the 2020-21 campaign, scoring five times and contributing six assists in 44 appearances in all competitions.

A number of teams, including Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United, are said to have an interest in the Netherlands international, who has a contract in Amsterdam until June 2023.

However, according to Mundo Deportivo, Barca are also firmly in the race for the teenager, who could potentially be on the move during this summer's transfer window.

The report claims that the Catalan giants first attempted to sign Gravenberch when he was 15, but Ajax managed to convince the midfielder to sign a professional contract.

Barca are allegedly keen to improve their midfield options ahead of the 2021-22 campaign, but talk of a move for Liverpool's Georginio Wijnaldum has quietened in recent weeks.
