Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has said that Manchester United are weighing up the possibility of moving for Stuttgart forward Serhou Guirassy during the January transfer window.
The 27-year-old has been in excellent form for his German club during the 2023-24 campaign, scoring 17 goals and registering two assists in just 11 appearances, with 16 of those strikes coming in the Bundesliga.
Guirassy spent last season on loan at Stuttgart from Rennes, netting 14 times in all competitions, before completing a permanent move to the Bundesliga team during the recent transfer market.
However, there is believed to be a release clause of €17.5m (£15.1m) in his deal, and a recent report claimed that Man United are weighing up a move for him.
According to Romano, the 20-time English champions are discussing a potential switch for the Guinea international, with Erik ten Hag's side planning to move for a new forward in January.

"He's [Guirassy] been discussed with Manchester United. He is a big opportunity on the market, one of the biggest because he's scored a lot of goals with Stuttgart and he is available with a release clause," Romano told the United Stand YouTube channel.
"It is not so usual to see a release clause valid in January around Europe, but in this case we can see the clause is valid in January window and is €17.5m (£15.1m).
"So that's why many clubs, not just in England, but also in Germany, Italy are considering a move for him because it's a big, big opportunity.
"He's been discussed with Man United. There were meetings to discuss the opportunity and to explain how the release clause works.

"Man United are thinking about the possibility to bring in a new striker in the January transfer window, so it's not guaranteed yet. But it is one of the things they are discussing internally.
"And Guirassy is one of the names they have on the table, so it's a possibility. But let me clarify there are multiple clubs interested in this boy.
"Stuttgart are also pushing for him to stay until the end of the season and leave in the summer. But from what I'm hearing the possibility of a January exit is really concrete."
Only Harry Kane (18) has scored more times than Guirassy in the Bundesliga this season, and the forward has six more goals than the player in third in the standings, which is RB Leipzig's Lois Openda.
Rasmus Hojlund is still waiting for his first Premier League goal for Man United, while Anthony Martial faced heavy criticism for his performance in Saturday's 1-0 loss to Newcastle United.
