Liverpool have reportedly approached the agent of Nikola Milenkovic to discuss a potential move for the Fiorentina defender during this summer's transfer window.
The centre-back's contract with La Viola is due to expire in June 2022, and it is widely thought that he will be allowed to leave the Italian club in the upcoming market for a fee in the region of £30m.
Manchester United have been strongly linked with the Serbia international, who is said to be open to the idea of joining the 20-time English champions.
However, according to Corriere dello Sport, there is also interest from Liverpool, with Jurgen Klopp's side holding talks with the 23-year-old's agent over a potential summer move.
Milenkovic has been an important player for Fiorentina during the 2020-21 campaign, making 24 appearances in all competitions, including 21 in Serie A.
Liverpool have struggled with a number of defensive problems this season, and the team's issues led to Ozan Kabak and Ben Davies both moving to Anfield in January.
