Manchester United have reportedly been handed a transfer request by a player who featured four times during pre-season.
With their newly-formed football operations team in place, United have enjoyed a hugely productive summer transfer window.
On Tuesday evening, it was confirmed that Noussair Mazraoui and Matthijs de Ligt had signed from Bayern Munich, joining Leny Yoro and Joshua Zirkzee who arrived at Old Trafford earlier in the summer.
As a result, the Red Devils have spent in the region of £150m to significantly bolster Erik ten Hag's squad ahead of the new Premier League campaign, which they kick off with a home encounter against Fulham on Friday.
A number of outgoings have also been facilitated to help keep United on the right side of the division's Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR), with Aaron Wan-Bissaka departing for West Ham United earlier this week.
However, it has been well documented that United ideally need to generate funds over the coming weeks if they wish to further strengthen their squad.

Hannibal keen to leave United?
According to Buzz News Tunisia, they could be provided with a helping hand through a development involving Hannibal Mejbri.
The report claims that the midfielder has officially informed United that he would prefer to depart the Theatre of Dreams rather than compete for his place.
Ten Hag gave the Tunisia international regular minutes during pre-season with appearances having been made in the first four friendlies of the summer.
However, he remained as an unused substitute in the final fixture against Liverpool and did not feature in the squad for the Community Shield against Manchester City at the weekend.
Although United officials may be agitated over the timing, they could appreciate the green light to make some inroads in their efforts to resolve issues with PSR.

Hannibal price-tag set
United allegedly hope that they can recoup £7m for the 21-year-old, despite his lack of game time during the second half of 2023-24.
A loan switch to Sevilla did not work out, Hannibal making just one start and five substitute outings for the Spanish outfit in La Liga.
He has also only ever made three top-flight starts in his career, with a loan stint at then-Championship side Birmingham City in 2022-23 proving to be his most productive period.
Scottish giants Celtic and Rangers are reportedly monitoring the situation, although the latter are likely to shy away from United's valuation after their Champions League exit on Tuesday night.
