Manchester United reportedly have a verbal agreement with Mario Mandzukic that the experienced forward will move to Old Trafford in the January transfer window.
The Red Devils allowed both Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez to leave the club over the summer, and Marcus Rashford has struggled to carry the goalscoring burden for the club.
United continue to be linked with a move for Mandzukic, who is widely expected to leave Juventus at the start of 2020 as he is yet to play a single minute of club football this season.
According to The Express, the 20-time English champions have been told that they will have to pay £10m to sign the Croatian in January, and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side already have a verbal agreement with the 2018 World Cup finalist.
Mandzukic has been strongly linked with a move to Qatar in recent weeks, but the striker is believed to have rejected a number of offers as he wants to continue in the European game.
The 33-year-old has scored 44 times in 162 appearances for the Italian champions in all competitions, including nine in 25 Serie A outings during the 2018-19 campaign.
