Manchester United are reportedly set to return for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen in January.
The 27-year-old, whose current deal with Spurs expires at the end of the season, was a target for the Red Devils throughout the summer but they were unable to agree a deal for the Dane.
Although United would have to pay a fee for the former Ajax man in January, The Mirror reports that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side are happy to do so as they look to acquire his services and stop him from moving abroad.
Eriksen is free to speak to foreign sides from January and both Juventus and Atletico Madrid have been linked with signing him on a pre-contract agreement.
The Denmark international is yet to start a game for Spurs following the arrival of Jose Mourinho as manager.
