Manchester United have reportedly enquired about Barcelona winger Ansu Fati, who only has one year remaining on his current contract at Camp Nou.
The 18-year-old suffered an injury-hit campaign during the 2020-21 season, and has not featured for Ronald Koeman's side since the beginning of November.
After his breakthrough year in the 2019-20 campaign, Fati earned his first senior Spanish caps in September 2020, and Barcelona are believed to be keen to extend the youngsters contract in Catalonia.
Mundo Deportivo reports that Koeman wants to reward Fati for his performances in a Barca shirt so far with a new and improved contract, but as he enters the final 12 months on his current deal, other clubs have shown interest in his signature.
Man United are reportedly monitoring the availability of the winger, whose agent Jorge Mendes has recently developed his rapport with the Red Devils when he organised the deal for Cristiano Ronaldo's return to Old Trafford.
Fati made his debut for the Spanish giants when he was 16 years old, and he has gone on to score 13 goals and provide five assists in 43 appearances for the club.
